Trader Joe’s Tomato and Chili Cheese Bites Reviews

Tomato and Chili Cheese Bites: 6.5/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 When #traderjoes was describing this new item on their podcast, I thought they were going to be pizza rolls and got really excited haha. I do love the regular cheese bites so I was still happy to see this new flavor hit the shelves! The cheese bite itself is very simple. It is semi aged cheese that has been baked. Each crunchy cheese bite is coated in tomato powder, chili powder, onion and garlic powder. I was hoping for a delicious grilled cheese and spicy tomato soup like flavor, but these did not live up to my expectations. They were very heavy on the chili and I felt like that overpowered each bite. I would say these are a medium spice level but did not have an amazing depth of flavor. They would be good as salad croutons or as a soup topping, but I prefer the other oven baked cheese bites flavors like the black truffle. Each bag is $2.69.

Have you tried these yet? What did you think?

  1. I agree, they were SO heavy on the chili powder! I can only eat 2-3 before I don’t want to eat them anymore 😭 I might try crushing them up and putting them tomato soup? Any other reccs?
