Peanut Satay: 7/10
🚨NEW ITEM🚨 Trader Joe’s just came out with 3 types of Thai noodles, and the peanut satay was the most requested that I review first! After hearing very average things about these noodles, I was not extremely excited to try, however they were better than I was expecting. The whole dish was very easy to cook up in the microwave (you dump the noodle packet and the sauce packet together in the bowl it comes in) and what you are left with are thick noodles in a sweet coconut peanut sauce that reminded me a little of Pad Thai. There are chili peppers scattered in, but other than that, it could definitely use more vegetables. This noodle dish is begging to be doctored up. If I were to get it again, I would add a squeeze of fresh lime, crushed up peanuts, Bok Choy, and chicken. Each noodle bowl is $2.49.
Have you tried this yet? What did you think?
I tried the red curry one and it was awesome!
I was so excited to try but the noodles were gummy and the sauce was not what I pictured😢
The noodles were too soft for me. But flavor was not bad for a fast to go lunch. I would love added veggies or crunch.
@adele_d_h
Tried the garlic ones. Kinda blah so I added some Sriracha and EBTB Seasoning and it made it better.
Thank you
I hated all three of them so much 😖
I keep trying at my local trader joes in nyc and they said it hasnt come out on the east coast yet do u know this to be true? @traderjoesfoodreviews
I found this in the Danville store and I hope that El Cerrito will carry it. I thought it was very good, just the right amount of spice, and good for a quick meal. You could add chicken to it. I will buy it again.
The red curry version is disgusting
Not as appealing at the packaging, but they had a good flavor.
This was awful lol the chunks of whatever it was really ruined it for me
I love the red curry one with some bell peppers and soy sauce
Only tried the garlic and it ended up in the trash 😢 Will be trying the red curry tomorrow
Is this similar to the old noodle boxes they used to have about 10 years ago? They were my favorite!
i added green onions, mushrooms, and fresh cherry tomatoes when done, it was DELICIOUS!!
I don’t have a microwave, I heated them stove top, it was blan, waste of money, good thing I had some fish sauce & hot sauce at home, I added them plus more peanut! Almost $3 easier to buy a pack of noodle, make it from Scratch
I wanted this to be better than it was. Not my fav 6/10
Eating the Red Curry for the first time 👎🏽 not impressed. Btw I love curry 🍛
I don’t agree with these ratings. I am convinced you have some sort of partnership with TJs. Most of the stuff on your page has a rating 6 or above. Not everything is a hit. Especially these bowls—4/10
@traderjoesfoodreviews have you tried the garlic version? 🥵I was shocked about how gross it smelled! Wondering if you had the same experience
These were 0/10 for me. I gagged and they all ended up in the trash after one bite. My fiancé spit it out actually 😭
I finally got my hands on all three versions and they were beyond terrible. We threw them out and made English muffin pizzas. These were probably the worst thing I’ve ever gotten from TJ’s
3/10:( the pre-cooked noddles in a bag that looked like a little pouch of worms really threw me off
