Trader Joe’s Peanut Satay Reviews

Peanut Satay: 7/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 Trader Joe’s just came out with 3 types of Thai noodles, and the peanut satay was the most requested that I review first! After hearing very average things about these noodles, I was not extremely excited to try, however they were better than I was expecting. The whole dish was very easy to cook up in the microwave (you dump the noodle packet and the sauce packet together in the bowl it comes in) and what you are left with are thick noodles in a sweet coconut peanut sauce that reminded me a little of Pad Thai. There are chili peppers scattered in, but other than that, it could definitely use more vegetables. This noodle dish is begging to be doctored up. If I were to get it again, I would add a squeeze of fresh lime, crushed up peanuts, Bok Choy, and chicken. Each noodle bowl is $2.49.

Have you tried this yet? What did you think?

  1. I found this in the Danville store and I hope that El Cerrito will carry it. I thought it was very good, just the right amount of spice, and good for a quick meal. You could add chicken to it. I will buy it again.

  2. I don’t have a microwave, I heated them stove top, it was blan, waste of money, good thing I had some fish sauce & hot sauce at home, I added them plus more peanut! Almost $3 easier to buy a pack of noodle, make it from Scratch

  3. I don’t agree with these ratings. I am convinced you have some sort of partnership with TJs. Most of the stuff on your page has a rating 6 or above. Not everything is a hit. Especially these bowls—4/10

  4. I finally got my hands on all three versions and they were beyond terrible. We threw them out and made English muffin pizzas. These were probably the worst thing I’ve ever gotten from TJ’s
