Cocoa Almond Spread: 8/10
This cocoa almond already tastes just like almond butter, but chocolate flavored! It tricks me a little, because I think it’ll taste just like Nutella (which is a solid 10 to me), but I have to remind myself that this is made with almonds so it tastes different. The taste is still very similar to Nutella, but has that distinctive almond butter flavor in the forefront. It’s very sweet and has a great amount of chocolate flavor to it it, the texture could just be improved upon a bit. This spread is very thick, dense, and a tad bit grainy. It melts easily though and is better heated up or spread on warm waffles or crepes. I made cocoa almond strawberry French toast roll ups for the second cookbook using this spread and they turned out incredible! Each jar is $3.99.
