Trader Joe’s Cajun Style Alfredo Sauce Reviews

Cajun Style Alfredo Sauce: 6/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 Trader Joe’s Alfredo sauces have been very hit or miss, but I’m glad they keep putting new variations out there since I’m a huge fan of Alfredo. Sadly, this one was a slight let down for me. The jar says it’s “bursting with Cajun style flavors” but I found it to be so mild and I could hardly taste the flavor at all. When it did come through I felt like it was practically a normal Alfredo with a hint of paprika and chili pepper. It has a hint of spice but I’d say it’s mild. I would’ve loved to be able to taste the creamy, cheesiness of the Alfredo more and more flavor from the spices. We tried this in a shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine (highly recommend the organic fettuccine noodles) and the seasoned shrimp added more delicious flavor. Overall, I don’t think I’d pick this one up again and would make my own Alfredo sauce at home. It’s $3.49 for the jar.

Have you tried this yet? What’s your favorite Alfredo from TJ’s?

  1. I made this with shrimp too and some sauteed mushrooms and onions and thought it wasn’t bad. Could have had more Cajun flavor but my boyfriend is super sensitive to spice and thought it was a good balance. To each their own!

  2. I agree that it wasn’t bursting with Cajun flavour, but nonetheless I still actually liked it 😅❤️! I threw a little pasta water into the sauce and served it over rigatoni with some grilled chicken on top. I thought it was super yummy! 😋
