Trader Joe’s Vegetable Samosa Burrito Reviews

Vegetable Samosa Burrito: 6.5/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 Trader Joe’s burritos are just not where it’s at. I have yet to find a pre made burrito, or pre made item for that matter, that is amazing. I picked up this new Vegetable Samosa Burrito in the refrigerated section near the soups and pre made wraps and salads, and I have found that the burritos just do not keep or reheat well. The tortilla always ends up slightly soggy and the ingredients don’t taste very fresh. I love the #traderjoes frozen samosas, so I was curious to see if the burrito would live up to the deliciousness of those. The tortilla is filled with potatoes, carrots, lentils, peas, and spices which gave it a kick. The tortilla and samosa filling kind of mushed together giving it no distinctive texture really. A separate sauce really would’ve helped make this better – does anyone have a good suggestion? While I didn’t necessarily dislike it, I will not be purchasing again. It’s $3.99 for this product.

Have you tried it yet? What’s your favorite premade item at #traderjoes?

  1. Same feeling regarding premade burritos and sandwiches—- if I had to pick one, the Cubano (or something to that extent)slightly better in terms of soggy-ness. Their salads are ok (wish it came with more) I’d pay more for more! Not more for less 😂

  2. I think the Black Bean Burrito with Jack Cheese is stellar. Better in the oven because the tortilla gets a crispiness that’s divine. You can also hear in micro and then pop into oven for a minute or two. I’m a vegetarian and make my own burritos and am very picky about pre-made. It’s really good. Whenever I check out the cashier will say “ooh I like this one!”. I’m not a fan of rice in burritos just give me my beans and cheese!
