Shredded Parmesan Cheese Alternative: 2/10
🚨NEW ITEM🚨 I was excited to try this brand new shredded vegan cheese, because the shredded vegan mozzarella cheese is the only vegan cheese I’ve liked so far at Trader Joe’s. I hoped that this would be similar! Unfortunately I could barely get through a couple bites to try it. It honestly tasted like sweet mold. I had to check the date on my bag to make sure it wasn’t expired! I got hints of Parmesan flavor in each bite, but the overwhelming funky taste to it made me want to spit it out. I will say, it was slightly better melted on top of pasta or pizza and is why this was bumped up 1 point, but I would much prefer the shredded vegan mozzarella cheese to this one. Each bag is $3.99.

Well this is disappointing 😭 husband has a dairy allergy and good cheese substitutes are hard to find. We don’t mind the TJs vegan shredded mozzarella, so I was hopeful…
Or Vevan! Sprouts sells this brand. Made grilled cheese with it. I was shocked. Love Miyokos too though!

As a vegan I loved it! I know it may be harder for non vegans to palate 😅 I love the vegan mozzarella too—the green bag cashew based I think? ✨
I actually would give it an 8 or 9, only better vegan parm I have found is Violife. This is a much better price point too.
I usually get daiya cheese or follow my heart which I think is delicious. I imagine trader Joe’s should have it? Both Walmart and Safeway carry it

Hmmm sounds like something was wrong with your bag. I’ve tried so many dairy free parms and this is my favorite so far. It melts nicely and has a nutty parm flavor. I’m on my fourth bag.
You should try the vegan caramelized onion dip, it’s pretty good if you’re looking to try more vegan treats!
Agreed, it was terrible. I can’t eat dairy so I get so excited when i find new dairy free products but this wasn’t it.

I finally tried it and I didn’t think it was terrible. As far as vegan cheese goes Aldi and Daiya brand knock it out of the park. But the vegan Parmesan wasn’t as bad as I expected. Maybe because I’ve been dairy free for so long. My mom actually liked it too even though she hates non dairy cheese lol. I’d give it a 5/10

This wasn’t bad. 8 out of 10 for me
