Trader Joe’s Chicken Enchiladas Reviews

Chicken Enchiladas: 5/10

Man oh man were these enchiladas average. There was nothing special about them to me that would make me want to get them again. Each package comes with two frozen white chicken enchiladas smothered with slightly spicy enchilada sauce. The tortilla gets a little soggy after the enchilada is cooked so I didn’t enjoy that part all that much. On top of the sauce was a little bit of cheese with bell peppers. The chicken itself was was fine, but nothing special. Overall, this was a very lackluster dish that I did finish because I was hungry, but I wouldn’t repurchase. Each package of 2 enchiladas is $2.49.

Have you tried this yet? What did you think?

  1. Ok, I think they recently adjusted this recipe/vendor because I used to eat these and the cheese enchiladas happily EVERY day for lunch and recently I couldn’t get through half of a package.. very sad I have to find a new go-to lunch!!

  2. I’m giggling at all these comments so hard. I have a pack getting frost bite in my freezer as we speak. Luckily the prices at TJs are so good. It’s not a terrible gut punch when something fails epically. And these def FAILED.

  3. I agree I did not like these at all. The texture was very soggy and all I could taste was the sauce which was too spicy for me😭 I love the beef tamales though so I’ll be sticking to those
