Chantilly Cream Vanilla Bean Cake: 8.5/10
I love that Trader Joe’s offers these smaller bakery items! This cake is the perfect size for about 5-6 people to share. It was delicious and verrry rich. One reason I didn’t rate this higher is because I prefer my cake ratio to be higher than frosting. The cream cheese frosting was almost as thick as the cake. Vanilla bean is one of my favorite flavors so I was really hoping for it to be prominent, but I couldn’t really taste the vanilla bean, just plain vanilla. Overall, this cake is delicious and a great price of $4.49.

We looooove lots of frosting and sweet. This is unbelievably good. Pop it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. 👌🏼

the frosting was too thick and personally i think they added too much vanilla, so it leaves a weird after taste

Totally agree! I tried it this week after seeing your review and couldn’t agree more (and I’m a frosting kind of girl! 😂). I took off half the frosting so I could eat the cake, that is absolutely DELICIOUS! 😋 Now I want to find a recipe for the cake so I can try to bake it myself (with half the frosting..)

Oh my gosh, I just bought one and I can’t wait to try! I’m a thick frosting kinda gal. Because I really don’t care for the cake unless it’s truly flavorful and moist.

Update… 10/10. Like legit I hate cake. Most of them are flavorless and I works rather have more frosting. I think it’s equal parts cake and frosting, and freaking one the fridge makes it soooo much better. I am obsessed with it.
