Trader Joe’s Candy Coated Milk Chocolate Candies Reviews

Candy Coated Milk Chocolate Candies: 8/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 While these candies are new, the ingredients look almost identical to the old candy coated milk chocolate candies. The only difference looks like these have whole milk powder instead of whole milk but I don’t think that affects the taste too much. These candies taste almost identical to M&M’s but, I still prefer the chocolate in M&M’s over these. The milk chocolate is still tasty and melts in your mouth, and I really appreciate that the coloring of the candy coating is all natural. The colors come from fruits, vegetables, turmeric, and spirulina and the candy coating is what tastes identical to M&M’s. These are great for adding to chocolate chip cookies and to salted popcorn. Each bag is $2.49.

Have you tried these yet? What do you prefer: TJ’s candy coated chocolate or M&M’s?

  1. I’ll always pick real ones but that being said these are good. The weird thing for me is the colors of the original ones were a turn off. They were muted and weird and not punchy like the “real” ones. These are much more appealing and look more fun. I’m sure they’re as good as the original and I definitely wouldn’t turn down sharing a bag 😁

  2. If I want candy coated chocolate, it will definitely be these.

All the dyes that are in M&M’s are banned in other countries🚫but not in the US. Scary!!

MILK CHOCOLATE (SUGAR, CHOCOLATE, SKIM MILK, COCOA BUTTER, LACTOSE, MILKFAT, SOY LECITHIN, SALT, ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS), SUGAR, CORNSTARCH, LESS THAN 1% – CORN SYRUP, DEXTRIN, COLORING (INCLUDES BLUE 1 LAKE, YELLOW 6, RED 40, YELLOW 5, BLUE 1, RED 40 LAKE, BLUE 2 LAKE, YELLOW 6 LAKE, YELLOW 5 LAKE, BLUE 2), GUM ACACIA.

  3. Tried them tonight and first thought, “these don’t taste like M&Ms!”. Glad to know the candy coating is all natural. When it comes to candy I don’t read the ingredient label 🤦🏽‍♀️

  4. Yassss 👏🏻 These are actually similar to Canadian “Smarties” than M&Ms! Totally different chocolate taste. I prefer M&Ms too but these are meant to have a lighter overall taste.
