Trader Joe’s Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins Reviews

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins: 7/10

Growing up, banana nut muffins were my absolute favorite. Add chocolate chips and it’s a perfect muffin in my eyes! I was excited to see how these banana chocolate chip muffins were compared to ones I’ve had before. Sometimes banana products can taste slightly artificial, and I found that the banana flavor was a little too sweet for my taste in these muffins and didn’t taste as fresh as banana muffins I’ve had before. The texture of these muffins was pretty fluffy which I enjoyed, but not super moist like I prefer muffins to be. Thankfully, I got a pack that was not dry at least. I enjoyed these muffins well enough, but for 410 calories a muffin, these are not worth the calories to me. The chocolate chips were a nice touch though, and these were better heated up a little. Costco muffins have these beat by a mile and I’ve definitely had more flavorful and moist muffins elsewhere! Each pack of 4 muffins is $4.49.

Have you tried these yet? What did you think?

  1. I absolutely LOVE LOVE these muffins. I buy this and sometimes scoop some chocolate ice cream on top and it’s divine🥰. No way Costco muffins have these beat. From your description, I think you would love Sam’s Club muffins.

  2. A couple of years ago they used to make these mini protein banana muffins. They were relatively healthy (plus a decent amount of protein) and tasted phenomenal. Idk why they ever stopped carrying them. I wish I could at least find the recipe online to try to recreate.
