Dark Chocolate Coffee Buzz Bar: 8/10
🚨NEW ITEM🚨 Coffee and chocolate are two of my favorite things! Anyone else? 🙋🏻♀️ Combine the two like #traderjoes did here in this brand new chocolate bar, and you have a sure fire combo that almost has to be delicious. I was curious how strong the coffee taste would be in this bar, and I can tell you the coffee flavor is very prominent! There are 70mg of caffeine in each bar so this makes sense. The bar itself smells like coffee as soon as you open it up and the chocolate tastes 50/50 like chocolate and coffee. The taste reminded me a lot of the chocolate covered espresso beans TJ’s sells just with a smoother texture. I’m glad they chose to do this bar in dark chocolate because I think the slight bitterness of both the coffee and chocolate went very nicely together. The chocolate had just the right amount of creaminess to balance out this bitterness without being overly sweet and melted in my mouth. I am going to make my espresso tomorrow morning over a piece of this chocolate and let them melt together! Each bar is $1.99 and has 4 smaller bars inside.
