Turkey & Pumpkin Mole Burrito: 6/10
After trying the gobbler quesadilla and not liking it, I was very hesitant to try this burrito. Luckily this one was better, but still not my favorite. The mole sauce has pretty good flavor, and was mildly spicy, but was nothing compared to rich and flavorful mole sauce I’m used to. The sauce didn’t have too much flavor to it and I definitely could not taste the pumpkin in it. Similar to the quesadilla, there were chunks of squash and sweet potatoes that didn’t add too much flavor to the burrito. This wasn’t as bad as I was expecting and I did finish the whole burrito. Overall, I didn’t dislike it and may buy it again for a really quick lunch, but not something I would crave or highly recommend. It’s $3.99 for the burrito.

I tried it with the Pepita salsa because I was missing the spice!
Kelsey, have you tried the Carne Asada Burritos in the frozen section? Air dry or oven. So hearty. Please review that one. 😍

I actually liked this one more than I thought I would! TJ burritos can be hit or miss depending on the individual one you select, not even necessarily the flavor. Have had really good & really bad Carne Asada ones.
I’ve never tried this burrito because the combination of pumpkin and mole didn’t sound great. But maybe I’ll give it a try.

I’m very interested in trying this one. So far, my favorite Trader Joe’s meals are the hearty minestrone soup and Chicken Sharwarma Pita

Years ago Trader Joe’s used to sell a mole sauce in a jar and it was AMAZING. Wishing every year that they would bring it back 😭

My favorite TJ’s quick lunch is probably the lemon basil orzo pasta salad or the Mediterranean orzo pasta salad! Their black bean and Jack cheese burritos are actually pretty good too!
I tried it last year and loved it! I just added it to my shopping list.
yeah didn’t like this so much. the breakfast burrito and the jerk chicken burritos are great though!
