Trader Joe’s Ricotta & Lemon Zest Ravioli Reviews

Ricotta & Lemon Zest Ravioli: 7/10

Whenever I review a ravioli from #traderjoes I get so many comments telling me that I must try the ricotta and lemon zest ravioli! I’m glad I finally got around to trying it. I love cooking with lemon and adding it to dishes, but I found this ravioli to be a touch too sweet. It is very unique and the ricotta cheese does balance out the sweetness a little bit, but this is not a ravioli I would buy and eat on its own. It’s almost a dessert ravioli it was that sweet. I did enjoy the taste enough to finish the plate because it was such a unique flavor combo to have in ravioli. I made a brown butter and scallion sauce and enjoyed this ravioli more paired with savory flavors to balance out the lemon. This ravioli would also be good on top of a salad! While this was good, there are other raviolis I would buy way more than this one! Each container is $3.49.

Have you tried it yet? What’s your favorite ravioli that I must try next?

  1. i feel like the dessert-y aspect of it comes from the LOADS of lemon zest in it 🥴 it definitely is way too heavy on the zest + floral lemon notes rather than sour and tangy lemon-y goodness which i was hoping for !!

  2. I love the Caprese ravioli! I was skeptical about it but it is by far my favorite ravioli from TJ’s now! I use very little of the Trader Joe’s tomato and basil sauce with it as it is very flavorful on its own! Sooo good!
