Trader Joe’s Lemon Bars Reviews

Lemon Bars: 6.5/10

These lemon bars are frozen, but best eaten at room temperature after sitting out for 45 minutes. Eat them too soon and they are too icy, wait too long, and they get warm and mushy. The lemon mixture is a good balance of sweet with a little tartness with a dusting of powdered sugar on top. The bottom layer sort of blended in with the texture of the soft lemon middle. I wish that the bottom was more firm and had more of a differentiating flavor like most lemon bars I’ve had. Compared to lemon bar box mixes, I much prefer the box mixes. Each box of 12 bars is $4.49.

Have you had these yet? What do you think?

  1. I do not love these. The texture was weird and bitter but not in a good lemony way. Trader Joe’s did have a box of lemon squares to home make and they are amazing!! I made them for Easter & were a huge hit! 🍋

  2. I’ve been buying these for at least 6-7 years, they’ve always been around. They’re amazing. I don’t know what people are complaining about. The texture is great and they taste like lemon curd and pie crust. What more are you expecting from a frozen lemon bar? What they NEED to bring back was the OG patriarch, the brown sugar bars. Those were the most delicious things on the planet and I think about them all the time. Why TJ’s. Why!? RIP
