Trader Joe’s Hearts of Palm Pasta Reviews

Hearts of Palm Pasta: 6/10

🚨NEW ITEM🚨 First off, this is a great gluten free and vegan option. There’s no denying the health benefits of this pasta, however, it was not my favorite. I found it to be too moisture filled for my taste. The smell when I initially dumped it in the pan was very overpowering as well, but lessened as it cooked. The pasta itself didn’t have too much of a flavor. If I were to enjoy this pasta, I would need to load it up with cheese to give it more flavor which kind of defeats the purpose. My favorite types of pasta alternatives are spaghetti squash and zoodles. Each box is $2.99 and can be found in the dry pasta section.

Have you tried this yet? What did you think?

  1. I’ve had the Whole Foods version and like them as a shelf stable and quick option. Tossed with primal kitchens vodka sauce and it was perfect for me. Didn’t pan cook them, just reheated in microwave

  2. Tasted great as a variation of pad thai! Made a sauce with soy sauce, peanut butter, ginger, lime, sriracha, and garlic and mixed with chicken and spinach. The sauce worked well with the slight vinegary taste it had.

  3. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, but the brown rice and yellow lentil spaghetti is gluten free but does NOT taste like it!! It’s my go-to pasta and I’m not even gluten free, it’s just that good! It has a really high amount of protein as well because of the lentils 😊
