Ghost Pepper Cheddar: 4/10
I was super excited to try this cheese because I LOVE spicy things and LOVE cheddar. However, I was pretty let down. It is almost too spicy and acidic to even taste the cheese. I didn’t really enjoy this plain, and when I added it to my grilled cheese, it overpowered the whole sandwich. It is $7.99/lb.

I think the best ghost pepper product TJ’s has done so far are the ghost pepper potato chips. They arent too spicy like most other things. The controversy behind creating a ghost pepper product though is that its SUPPOSED to be insanely spicy, ghost peppers arent something you really enjoy as a food but rather as a challenge. Regardless, the chips are their best so far.

Agreed that it’s way too acidic raw but it’s pretty great when mixed with Cabot habañero cheddar and pepper jack in grilled cheese/mac and cheese, it wasn’t really that spicy though
What about the habanero hot sauce? It’s crazy spicy but super flavorful IMO
You know if they’re getting any crushed ghost peppers?
I loved it so much! This is amazing on broccoli, chili or using TJs rosemary and fig crackers. 9/10 only because it molded after a week.
I mean, it’s ghost pepper. Those things are hot!
I liked it, but everyone else in my family hated it, and they love for spicy food. I wound up cooking with it and adding it to cornbread and twice baked potatoes for a kick.
Personally, I love spice and I loved this cheese! It was a wonderful balance of spice and cheddar. I used it on a couple of cheeseboards with my boyfriend and I wish I had grabbed more of this cheese when I had the chance! Dark chocolate balances the spice out well if it ever gets to be too much.

I was hoping it would be good because I LOVE the ghost pepper chips but I agree. It’s too over powering.
