Trader Joe’s Chocolate Brooklyn Babka Reviews

Chocolate Brooklyn Babka: 10/10

Today is my birthday! 🎉 So I thought what better way to celebrate than reviewing one of my favorite #traderjoes desserts. Babka is a sweet, fluffy, layered dessert with Jewish roots. It reminded me of Rugelach, but fluffier. I received a lot of messages from you all saying that Brooklyn is the Babka capital of NYC and this babka was a great representation of what you have had there. The wavy, marbled layers of chocolate make this Babka look absolutely mesmerizing. I really enjoyed this dessert and liked how each layer I pulled apart was chocolatey and fluffy. The chocolate was not too sweet and would be amazing paired with a morning cup of coffee. Be sure to pick a Babka off the shelf with the furthest expiration. It’s so much more delicious if it’s not dry on the inside! This loaf is $4.99.

Have you tried it yet? What do you think?

  1. @traderjoesfoodreviews thats so funny you got this on your birthday cuz yesterday was my birthday and I finally went into Trader Joe’s for the first time in, like, almost 2 months! But I got this cuz I HAD to try it!! (And i remember you giving it a 10/10!) It definitely didn’t taste how I thought it was gonna taste (which was a good thing!) And it’s also not AS sweet as I thought it was gonna be (ALSO a good thing!) Overall i think it’s pretty dang good!!
