Trader Joe’s Cheese Filled Fiocchetti with Pink Sauce Reviews

Cheese Filled Fiocchetti with Pink Sauce: 6.5/10

I was really excited for this pasta, but it was not as good as I was expecting. To cook it you add 1/3 cup water and 1 tablespoon olive oil and simmer for 6 to 7 minutes. After this time had passed the sauce was still incredibly watery so I kept cooking it for another five minutes to thicken up the sauce which worked a little. Overall, the cheese inside of the pasta was not super flavorful and I was expecting it to be more cheesy. The sauce had a pretty good tomato flavor and was creamy but I did not like the oil in it and didn’t quite understand why it needed so much water. I did love the texture and shape of the actual pasta, just wish it was filled with more flavor. Each bag is $3.99.

Have you tried this yet? What did you think?

  1. Instead of adding water I added 1/3 cup of half and half then as it was almost done heating I tossed in a tablespoon of whipped cream cheese and about 3 tbsps of shredded Parmesan cheese. That combo thickened the sauce right up and made it velvety luxurious-ness

  2. I finally tried this and I ended up cooking it longer than recommended. I think that made the sauce thicken up more . I thought it was REALLY good!! I also don’t think j I e fed up using as much oil as it called for because i couldn’t find a tablespoon so I just eyeballed it

  3. Do not add water. Just a little olive oil, and cover with a lid to cook – stirring frequently until the sauce thickens. Add garlic salt to finish.
It’s NEVER WATERY for me this way – tastes 10/10. Try it again @traderjoesfoodreviews 🔥
