Trader Joe’s Açaí Bowl Reviews

Açaí Bowl: 7/10

Trader Joe’s Açaí Bowl contains various fruit like strawberries, banana, blueberries, and açaí blended together and then topped with coconut and granola. It comes frozen, and then you microwave it to thaw it out and eat. I thought the açaí tasted good. It wasn’t too sweet or sugary, but I prefer my fruit fresh. I didn’t enjoy the frozen berries mixed in as they didn’t taste super great after being thawed out in the microwave. You can also defrost your bowl in the fridge overnight. Ultimately, #traderjoes açaí bowl is a solid and tasty choice if you are in need of an inexpensive and quick açaí bowl, but I would rather buy the açaí packets and make my own with fresh fruit and granola. Each bowl is $3.99.

Have you tried it yet? What do think?

  1. LOVE these but I’m totally addicted to acai bowls. The idea here is you don’t need the noisy messy blender- sure the packets are better but more work and time consuming. Yes – too many sour blueberries- wish it had more acai and less of the added frozen fruit. Wish it was a little bigger and wish it had a lot less sugar. I add protein powder and a chopped apple 🍎 and some almonds and my own healthy granola or some @threewishes cereal – DINNER DONE‼️👍

  2. I make my own. I buy the TJs Acai packets add some stevia, a little water, frozen berries & bananas put it in the @vitamix and top with granola, TJ’s shredded coconut, sliced honey almonds, fresh blueberries, cocoa nibs & agave. Soooo good!

  3. I prefer fresh also BUT for my busy mom schedule these are perfect! I defrost per instructions and seems to work well – sometimes I add some fresh granola in addition to almond butter and it’s amazing! Close enough to my favorite $14 bowl I can bowl locally!
