Chicken Enchiladas Verde: 7.5/10
After reviewing the frozen enchiladas a while back (and not liking them), I got lots of recommendations for these enchiladas in the fresh, ready to eat section. I’d been craving enchiladas recently so decided to give these a shot. These enchiladas are filled with white chicken and topped with green chili, Monterey Jack and cotija cheese. I liked these enchiladas fine enough to finish one for dinner, but the chicken was slightly mushier than I would’ve liked. They were also sweeter than I expected and didn’t have any spice in my opinion. These were much better than the frozen enchiladas I reviewed a month or two ago, but not my first choice. They also fell apart a lot in the package before I cooked them! I enjoy the frozen tamales over these. It’s $6.99 for 4 servings. They are good in a pinch!
Have you tried these yet? What’s your favorite enchilada at TJs?
I love these. Never noticed there was supposed to be some spiciness to it 😕 There definitely is none unless you think pepper is spicy.
I thought they were pretty good for a pre-made meal. Easy to make.
Sugar is listed so many times in the ingredients…
I add a lot of sriracha on them for the extra heat and they taste a whole lot better but I agree about the mushy texture
I wanted to love these too 😭😭
Wait a tick…. new enchilada packaging!!! 😮 I prefer the red cheese ones. So cheesy!

I ad sour cream and the jalapeño sauce TJ’s sells, so good!
Yea I totally agree with you on this product. It’s not the worst but not the best either. Flavor was reallly lacking but overall was kinda mushy
Make sure to bake them in the oven and use hatch chili for some spice.
Are they back in stock? My Trader Joe’s hasn’t had them in months!! I hope they are. Love them 🙌
I doctored mine a little by adding extra salsa verde and shredded cheese on top with a side of Greek yogurt. Not bad!
I love these but for some reason they’re never at my store!
We are makers of this!
Appreciate that our customers like it ❤️
These are so good but are definitely not authentic!
I loved them until I found a fingernail in mine 🤢
I think it was the sweetness for me that threw me off. And there was zero heat. I didn’t even finish eating it. 🤢
I always take a pass on these because they just don’t look that good to me. 🤷🏼♀️ I would also choose the frozen tamales (green chile and cheese are my fave w/their salsa verde) over these.
I really like them with Trader Joe’s green salsa! Yum!
Doctor these up with pepper jack cheese and bake them in your toaster oven. Then top with fresh diced onion and fresh cilantro. Sour cream too if you want. Takes it to another level!
These were awful 😂
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Way too sweet. I wanted lunch not desert!
