Paratha: 7.5/10
This #paratha was a delicious type of #indian bread and was really fun to try. The difference between paratha and naan, is that #naan has yeast and is baked, and paratha has no yeast and is fried on a griddle. Paratha is thinner and more oily than its fluffy counterpart naan. I found that paratha had more of a doughy flavor and a less bready taste. It reminded me a little of scallion pancakes. I liked paratha a lot, but don’t think it will be as versatile in my kitchen as naan. It was hard to dip in sauces or hummus because of how thin it was. I’ll still continue to buy it every once in a while as it was still yummy! Each bag comes with 5 small parathas for $1.99.
Have you tried it yet? What do you think?
I give it like a 5.5 unfortunately. It does the job but nothing close compared to the Indian frozen brands. TJ’s frozen naan can stand up alllll day to the Indian brands, but not this paratha sadly!
I make these for breakfast and roll some eggs inside. Nice breakfast Burrito. 😋
A little butter, cinnamon & sugar
Interesting texture. We liked them.
Try with powdered sugar!! So yummy
Trying it today with some chicken tikka masala!
Absolutely love this stuff!!! I try to have some in my freezer at all times.
Pour some condensed milk on top. Perfect dessert
Paratha is the most versatile of the Indian breads, it can be used for savory or sweet dishes, I personally like to use it in place of crepe applications cover it is Nutella and add strawberries and whipped cream, also great for breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza etc the possibilities are endless.
I love this roti it’s so great made a chicken coconut curry with it yum
Looks good and I will buy some.🤩
You haven’t cooked it properly, it’s still majorly uncooked
I’m sorry that paratha looks uncooked, and what type of paratha is half serving. Clearly, Trader Joe’s don’t know that your supposed to eat the whole thing. Plz don’t disrespect Indian food.
Do u see this?
Hey dagri
Do u see this?
Eh ben Tu rotli banav ni paratha sharatha khai, kacho mehndho khai, haram vagarni
When I was a kid my mom would make parathas and I would put peanut butter and jelly on that and make a wrap out of it. So good!
They’re really good warm and you can dip it in sugar 🙃
I love it! I like to pour my curries right over it . Reminds me of roti !
Omgosh tried it and loved! Surprised you didn’t rate a little higher 😅 if you warm it a longer on a pan it gets flakier and less oily.
I just picked this up yesterday. They didn’t have the naan, so I figured I’d try something new.
I’d give this a solid 8 at least
I just found a long human hair baked into my paratha
