Spicy Pumpkin Curry Simmer Sauce: 8/10
I took a quick break from eating all my pumpkin desserts to try this spicy pumpkin curry simmer sauce for a healthy dinner and it was delicious! This curry simmer sauce is made with pumpkin purée, coconut cream, red jalapeños, and lots of spices. It is more of a Thai style curry than Indian and pairs amazingly with rice and Kobucha squash. I also made it the other night with lentils, chicken, and green beans and it was great! It is mild to medium in terms of spice and the pumpkin flavor is subtle and pairs nicely with the spices and coconut cream. This pumpkin curry simmer sauce would be amazing to cook up a Halloween dinner before the kids go trick or treating! Each jar is $2.99.
Have you tried it yet? What did you think? (I am not affiliated with Trader Joe’s)
I love it but I add half a can of pumpkin purée to enhance the pumpkin flavor!!
I always buy like 10 jars and stock pile it. It’s my favorite TJS sauce
Omg, did they sell you something expired? 🤔
I only purchased one jar last year, but made sure to stock up this year. I like to sauté chicken and broccoli and mix it in, then pair with jasmine rice or naan bread.
I LOVE this sauce! I already bought six jars to save for when they stop carrying it! I use it on tofu, and it’s wonderful.
Can you post a recipe for the dish you made with this? 🤩
I love it! I’ll have to make it with lentils next time!
My fav🙌🙌
Does that say use by 7/28/21? Haha were they selling this over the summer?
Glad you liked this! I just bought to try with chicken, peppers, and rice.
i love this sauce so much!
Oh that’s excellent! It’s been sitting in my pantry for 2 weeks begging me to make it 😂
The best!
I cooked mine with shrimp and it was so good!! Definitely more of a medium to hot for me. It’s a building heat.
Just how spicy?
Kabocha squash
My kids eat it so it’s 10/10 for me
Try this with Mac and cheese balls
The best! I add about a half can of coconut milk to it…..Stretches the sauce out a bit and adds a lil extra subtle coconut goodness
Looooove this so much. One of my faves
I use it as a dipping sauce to go with pumpkin samosas, turned out to be a great combo!
Love it! Stocked up with a few extra jars this year!!
Looks delicious but also contains a lot of sodium
