Shawarma Chicken Thighs: 9.5/10
Chicken Shawarma Thighs from #traderjoes are an item I buy at least every other week if not more! It tastes just as good as takeout shawarma and pairs so well with a warm piece of garlic naan and hummus. These thighs are marinated in all sorts of spices like onion, garlic, salt, paprika, turmeric, and parsley. They are not spicy at all, and are so juicy and well flavored. The reason why I docked this half a point is because the chicken could be higher quality. My absolute favorite way to eat this shawarma is making it into a wrap using my recipe in Cooking Through Trader Joe’s Cookbook. Crispy French fries on top are a MUST! We cook it for longer than the package says because I like it crispy. Check out the Chicken Shawarma Guide for more ways to eat this. This chicken is $4.79 per pound.
Have you tried this yet? What did you think?

Yo this is one of the best prepared meats they sell
Literally my faves
Best way to prepare this? Having it for dinner tonight!
Tried it last night and found it to be rubbery…not sure if it is due to over marinating or chicken quality. I won’t buy it again.
Holy have some Sodium😳
Soooo good 😍 does anyone else find this takes WAY LONGER than 20 minutes in the oven??

How do you cook this? I tried this last night following the oven directions on the package and I feel like it was in there for SO long before we finally got it to cook evenly. And even then, we felt like it wasn’t cooked thoroughly 🙁
I’d love to know how you prepare these! Just bought some & can’t wait to try 🙌
Nah this is my jam. It’s the reason why I can’t go fully vegan
