Cheese Filled Fiocchetti with Pink Sauce: 6.5/10
I was really excited for this pasta, but it was not as good as I was expecting. To cook it you add 1/3 cup water and 1 tablespoon olive oil and simmer for 6 to 7 minutes. After this time had passed the sauce was still incredibly watery so I kept cooking it for another five minutes to thicken up the sauce which worked a little. Overall, the cheese inside of the pasta was not super flavorful and I was expecting it to be more cheesy. The sauce had a pretty good tomato flavor and was creamy but I did not like the oil in it and didn’t quite understand why it needed so much water. I did love the texture and shape of the actual pasta, just wish it was filled with more flavor. Each bag is $3.99.
Have you tried this yet? What did you think?
Do not add a third cup of water
@stefybabyyy just add garlic and parm cheese
Loved this pasta!
It’s very good if you don’t add water !! I cook it as is and it’s super great I learned after the first time not to add water 😅
Added heavy cream and made it much better
Finally tried this and maybe even a 5/10. Red pepper flakes and pecorino Romano couldn’t even save it.
I did not add water and I love this. I even liked it just as much reheated the next day.
I think the bags are inconsistent. I’ve followed the instructions and sometimes it’s perfect, other bags have been way too watery 🤷🏻♀️
I love this pasta. I didn’t see that you add anything. I just microwave and it’s so yummy!
Instead of adding water I added 1/3 cup of half and half then as it was almost done heating I tossed in a tablespoon of whipped cream cheese and about 3 tbsps of shredded Parmesan cheese. That combo thickened the sauce right up and made it velvety luxurious-ness
Loved the noodle shape but the sauce didn’t do it for me
I LOVED it, but instead I microwaved and added some sun dried tomatoes and shrimp sauteed in garlic!
I microwaved and added prosciutto. It was yummy 😋 Next time I’ll add pancetta 🤤
Add lobster
Not good
i loved it! i only used a splash of water and added red pepper flakes in it, it was delish
Bland and agree on too much water.
I finally tried this and I ended up cooking it longer than recommended. I think that made the sauce thicken up more . I thought it was REALLY good!! I also don’t think j I e fed up using as much oil as it called for because i couldn’t find a tablespoon so I just eyeballed it
I heard use cream instead of water!
I thought this was good. I added zucchini and cut up eggplant. And spread it over 3-4 meals.
The sauce is way too thin and doesn’t thicken like the linguine and clams!
Do not add water. Just a little olive oil, and cover with a lid to cook – stirring frequently until the sauce thickens. Add garlic salt to finish.
It’s NEVER WATERY for me this way – tastes 10/10. Try it again @traderjoesfoodreviews 🔥
Loved these!
I only add a few tablespoons of water, then a spoonful of herbed cream cheese— it has potential but is definitely a miss “as is”!
