English Coastal Cheddar: 8/10
This is a great block of cheddar for a fantastic price! It is amazingly rich and sharp and melts evenly on grilled cheese or pasta. This cheese has calcium lactate crystals aka flavorrrr crystals in it which gives it some texture and crunch.

I love it…my mouth doesn’t. Some kind of reaction to the sharpness. In 2019 I was advised by a TJ manager to switch to Cabot Extra Sharp which was nice and sharp without the reaction! Not so now. The cheese has varied in taste, texture and quality for the last year. Not even close to the Cabot before and not even close to the description on the label!
