Strawberry Shortcake Sandwich Cookies: 6.5/10
🚨NEW ITEM🚨 I love when #Traderjoes comes out with variations on their best products, and the original “These Sprinkles Walk into a Sandwich Cookie” is one of my favorite treats! Strawberry is a tough flavor to nail in desserts because it can taste artificial easily and this strawberry flavor missed the mark for me. I liked the actual cookie which was a crumbly, butter cookie with little bits of dried strawberry in the cookie. A crumbly cookie isn’t always my first choice, but I liked how rich and buttery the cookie itself tasted and the studs of strawberries were slightly chewy and sweet. The filling, however, tasted too artificial. It was giving me strawberry fluoride vibes mixed with strawberry yogurt. I’m not sure if this was just my box, but the filling had melted out of one end of the cookie and in some cookies there was almost no filling at all (which wasn’t too big of a problem because the filing was my least favorite part haha). Compared to These Sprinkles Walk into a Sandwich Cookie, this new strawberry version is not nearly as good. It’s $2.99 for the cookies.
