Orange Chicken Bowl: 7/10
I was super excited to try this bowl, because I love #TraderJoes original orange chicken. Compared to that orange chicken, this one scored lower for me. You cook it in the microwave, and I don’t think that does it any favors texture wise. The breading on the chicken turned a little soggy and the rice didn’t have the amazing texture that fried rice usually does. The orange sauce had a good flavor that resembles the bagged version, but I wish it was thicker. I would buy this meal again to bring in for lunch or for a quick single serving dinner, but I would much prefer buying #friedrice and #orangechicken separately and cooking it up in a wok. It is $3.99.
