Black Truffle Alfredo Sauce: 3/10
#traderjoes truffle products are very hit or miss for me. For the most part, I find them to be way too shroomy and do not have a high quality truffle taste. This Alfredo sauce could have been so delicious, but really missed the mark. First off, it is extremely thick, rich, and has a strong shroom taste. If you put anymore than a tablespoon of sauce in your dish, it’s overpowering. A little really goes a long way, but overall I did not enjoy the taste of this Alfredo. If it were a creamy and delicious Alfredo sauce base with some of the Trader Joe’s truffle powder mixed in, it would’ve been amazing. To make it better, you could also mix a little bit with marinara to make a creamy red sauce so it’s not as strong and thick on its own. Each jar is $3.99.
